The Lake Lac des Isles is one of the largest lakes in the Meadow Lake Provincial Park. It is a very clean lake with a hard sand bottom. There are plenty of hidden bays to sunbathe in. Several islands offer a picturesque interruption.  The lake is 13 miles long and 3-1/2 miles across at its widest point. Lying east to west, many beaches are protected even in bad weather. With 2 public boat launches and our launch, you should be able to ski or fish in most weather conditions. Average depth is 30' - 40' with areas over 100' deep. Our bay has 1/4 mile of sand beach with a gradual slope. Lac des Isles has few hazards - water skiers, boaters, wind surfers, fisherman, and sailors have miles of open water to enjoy. Fish species in Lac des Isles are Northern Pike, Walleye, Yellow Perch and Whitefish. Fishing licenses are available here at the resort. Four species of trout are also available to fish in the provincial park as there are over 25 lakes to fish in the area. Services At the Lodge Our store carries all tackle, souvenirs, confectionary and groceries you will require to complete your vacation. Fishing licenses are available here and we also rent boats and motors, canoes and paddle boats. The games room contains a pool table and a coin operated arcade games. Public showers are located here as well and are open from 9 am till 9 pm. At the Beach 
Our enclosed swimming area and newly built playground will keep the children entertained
for hours. The swimming area has a pool slide and the playground is equipped
with fort, merry-go-round and slide. Don't forget to pack their
sandpails!! Beach volleyball, mooring facilities, docks and a screened fish
cleaning hut are all available to you at no charge.
Nearby Our nearest town "Goodsoil" is just 8 miles east of us on the edge of the park and offers these services; grocery stores, laundromat, restaurants, liquor vendor, hospital, RCMP, mini-golf, service stations, churches, museum, post office, and a 1700' grassed runway. Located just 3 miles south of Big Island Cove Resort is Northern Meadows Golf Course. This 9 hole, grass green course just opened in 1998 and is one of the most attractive and promising courses in Rural Saskatchewan. The course also has a driving range, clubhouse and pro shop so don't forget to pack your clubs! Within 30 minutes of the resort you can find a riding academy, miniature golf, hiking trails, sailboat rentals, river rafting and numerous other community attractions.
